There is an optional Certified Laser Safety Officer exam that is offered by the Board of Laser Safety at the end of this course. To be able to take the exam you MUST apply to the Board of Laser Safety and meet specific educational and work experience requirements. Requirements Once approved by the Board of Laser Safety you may sit for the exam. The total cost to take this exam is $350 ($50 application fee and $300 exam fee). The Laser Safety Officer with Hazard Analysis course may help you to review for the exam but should NOT be considered a prep course for the exam. Description:

Designed to teach the knowledge required to perform the duties of Laser Safety Officer as described in the ANSI Z136.1 Safe Use of Lasers standard. Information on lasers and optics, applications, bioeffects, beam and non-beam hazards, hazard analysis, control measures and training on laser safety program development and administration. This course meets all LSO training requirements outlined by ANSI, OSHA and ACGIH. Worth 4.5 ABIH CM Points, 32 CECs by AAHP and 4.5 BLS CM Points by the Board of Laser Safety.

This course is tailored to fit the needs of safety professionals, engineers, laser operators, technicians, and other professionals assigned the duties of Laser Safety Officer or required to perform laser hazard analysis, training, or the administration of a laser safety program for their organization.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received within 10 business days of course date will be not be refunded. There is a $99 administrative fee for all refunds due to cancellation prior to 10 business days before the start of the course. Attendees may transfer from one course location to another for no charge.
